Who wants to go to Vegas? We have decided that we want to go to the SEMA show, in November. SEMA is in Vegas. Details are sketchy at this time, mostly because we have no idea how we're going to get passes.

EDIT- Matt came up with some details
Details:
Tuesday, November 4 – Friday, November 7, 2008
LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER, LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, USA

Interesting. Car clubs? Do we have a back door?

Hrm... I will have to pursue this further.

I bet if we got to VW Vortex size we'd be able to get some badges no problem. We're just a few hundred thousand members short...

Why can't we? Press is press right?

Yep, just like when Gizmodo went through turning off all the tv's displayed at CES!

Press pass is possible, otherwise you have to have a registered business with some form of business ID and personal ID. I'm going to research exactly what is required but it could be easy enough to set something up for the show.

If we go over this time frame I'd have to come back Thursday night or Friday morning as I'm going to be out of town Fri-Mon for hunting. Tue & Wed at the show wouldn't be all bad, and flying home thursday might be cheaper than a Friday flight.

I'm actually thinking this is a good idea. We need to work on it. Even if we have to cab it to the strip every day, it'll be worth it.

I must stay on the strip! :p

Gawd. I have a hard enough time holding onto my money as it is. Vegas would destroy every aspect of my financial world.

Jay, we aren't going to Vegas to gamble. We're going to Vegas to sneak into the best car toybox ever.

Who said anything about gambling? Vegas is the Bermuda Triangle of money.... you cross the city limits and your bank account starts ticking down.

BEST CAR TOYBOX EVER. EVER.

How can you argue with that?

Unless i can play with the toys for free, I am not tempted

Yeah lots of stuff to play with and see! I want to get in on a Holdem Tournament too, and check out a club or two, maybe see a show, etc. Lots o stuff to do. Getting into SEMA would be amazing.

SEMA is the only interest I have out there. Gambling and titty bars do nothing for me.

I MAY be able to get a few passes, a guy here at work has lots of connections. He and his son went last year. I can check, but I doubt I could get more then a few, if any.

Jurgen we are working on securing as many passes as possible for this. The more you can contribute, the better. I'm going to get myself credentialed as press, and I may be setting up an LLC surrounding the LED tails to get me a couple more, but I don't know how far that is going to get me.

I'll go with a pit stop to the bunny ranch.

Seriously though, find out what's needed and let me know. I wonder if a web design company with a focus on, and with clients in, the auto indusrty could get passes.

I own an LLC you can feel free to [ab]use if you need to. Just let me know how I can help.

I'm part of an LLC getting set up as well.
