Without going into enough detail to break the rules I just want to say that the revised 2008.5 Mazda3s are in Minnesota, and they look awesome!!
? I'm guessing this is a salesman from a dealership ? And don't they look the same as every other 3 on the road? :D Get your dealership to be a sponsor and lets chat terms and opportunity!

They do look the same on the exterior except for the new colors available. They are Stormy Blue, Metropolitan Gray, Copper Red (makes a return), Golden Sand, and Crystal White replaces Cosmic Blue on the Speed3.
Interior changes are piano black finish on 2.3 models, white needles on the instrument panel, alcantara inserts on the Speed3 GT, power driver's seat on Grand Touring (not Speed3), and a few other minor things.
One of the best things is that the iTouring now comes standard with the safety package, and is actually lower in price. It also now comes with fog lights and leather wrapped knob and wheel.
Even cooler is that all 6CD in-dashes are now MP3 compatible.
I'll see what I can do about the sponsoring!

If you want to shoot me a PM, I have a couple questions for ya. I have heard the trade-in value on the used 3s is very high. My car only has 13.5k on it, but I was considering buying another new one this summer.

I know JHow and referred him here. Yes, hes a salesman, but he has always been great to me. Whether a sponsorship can be worked out or not, I'm sure he'd take care of you well.

LOL. No. I was just thinking that if I can get into another new car for the same payment I make now, I may as well. But, I may just wait until the warranty expires on this thing.

May as well wait until the 09's then, otherwise all you're really getting is clean seats... lol
We need Joe to roll in an RX8 or CX7 or CX9. lol

Props to bring Copper back, second best color on the 3 if you ask me.
I'll see what I can do about the sponsoring!
So which dealership are you with?

Those of you interested in the alcantara seats, I have a proposition of sorts for yous.
I was at the dealership today, and apparently there aren't going to be any Metro Gray Sports around when I'm buying my car. I want Metro Gray, but don't really want a GT. Would either one of you be interested in trading the driver and passenger seats from your speed3s for those from a brand new '08.5 GT if I were to buy one? I would need some money to make up the difference of trading your used cloth/leather seats for my new alcantara/leather seats. I'm not set on a number, but maybe we can work something out.

My salesguy told me that they should be getting GTs in the next few weeks, hopefully the seats are of high enough quality.

Looks pretty good imo, I think I'd want the backseats (easiest part to swap) and the door inserts too, lol.

Holy GOD I want that interior. I have the GT package leather/cloth.... Josh only has cloth/cloth.

I don't really care for leather honestly. And as far as what stuff we could trade, that doesn't really matter to me either. If the door panels and rear seat can be swapped easily than I guess those could be traded also. I don't know that much about working on a car, though I definitely am up for learning.
The point of doing this is to help out you guys who wanted the fancy seats, and get me in a car I want (Metro Gray MS3). Since apparently there won't be Sport models around in that color, I have to go with the GT. Trading the seats with you guys would at least help to recoup some of the additional cost of bumping up from the sport.

Swapping those parts will be cake. If you're preferential to the cloth, I suggest you talk to Josh.

I really don't care if I end up with leather or cloth. I don't want to be greedy or start a bidding war between you two, but it would really come down to who would be give me the most for them. Unless one of you wants them more than the other, but I guess that would be something the two of you could work out.

Here's how it will work out. Josh has first dibs. Simple. He bails, then we talk.

Seats are cake. I've done it several times. I'd help with the swap if need be.
