Anyone here listen to audio books?
I'm looking for a good site where I can download mp3 copies to burn to CD. I'd be fine paying a few bucks per download, but it seems like every site I come across wants to use some DRM-protected BS.
Maybe I'll just have to end up hitting the library and checking out copies or something.

What sites have you been using? Major reason I don't like audio books is because I can't listen to anything else until I'm done with the audio book! They're great when you're driving tired though, its better then coffee or crack!

I don't use any sites right now, I just kinda started looking and I was wondering if anyone had suggestions. I just hate the idea of paying for a download and then being tied to certain devices and/pr software in order to use my download, hence my hating on sites like itunes and shit.

I've used
http://www.audible.com/
before. I chose it because they supplied an app for my iPAQ.
Doesn't itunes do audiobooks now?
and after reading your post again.... audible isn't going to help you.

Yea, want free audio books? See my post in the torrent thread, that's where I get mine. I sit at work with my Ipod all day. I spent most of Feb. doing up the harry potter books, good stuff, much better then the movies. Right now I'm doing a trifecta of economy books, I'm on the third one now, more good stuff.
