It's that time of year again. My Khumos are at the wear bar already, I'm pretty disappointed about that. That means I get to shop for new tires. What are people here running on their 3's? I know some have talked about the Yokohama YK520. In fact, there is a review on the www.discounttiredirect.com site about these from a guys that lives in IGH. The review sounds like something Tom may have written. See it here (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/readReviewsTire.do?yr=2004&c=1&sw=false&fcpr=&pc=43122&ra=searchTiresByVehicleAndSize.do&fclr=&fcsr=&cs=205&rd=17&vid=008498&ar=50&fcs=false&fcb=). Scroll down a bit.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

That was me in fact. I still say they're a great tire.

tirerack.com is a great site to check out pricing and variety of tires with professional review/surveys as well as user reviews. Otherwise we'd need to know your needs?

All-season? Summer or Winter only? Excellent grip or long tread wear? Cheap price?

I've got Nitto NeoGen's, I'm really happy with them but they are a pretty soft tire, better wear rating than the Stockers though. I think I'll get this summer out of them (so 2 full summers).

When my RSA's bit the dust, I got a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto AS's. Yeah, they're spendier than the Kumhos, but damn they're nice tires. Work great in snow. A lot of people here give me shit about them, but they're just jealous.

i just put nitto neogen's on also. haven't gotten to rip on them yet but so far i like the ride quality better than the potenza's. matt, did you do the plus size on them or what size did you get?

Yeah I've got 225/40's, they were on my 6s before I got the MS3, I may try and fit some 235's next time around but I haven't decided yet.

I have the Kumho Ecsta ASX. For me they have preformed at the same level as the RSAs, da bomb in the summer, total shit in the snow, but with better tread life, and half the cost.

Almost forgot about my best pricing find - onlinetires.com

MrMatt's Nitto NeoGens (http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?ID=725&PageData=tireResults&Paging=8) for $87/tire

Spek1098's Kumho Ecsta ASXs (http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?ID=725&PageData=tireResults&Paging=6) for $81/tire

And my personal fav for great summer grip and good winter performance (see my review in the review section) as I drove them all winter are the Continental ContiExtreme Contacts (http://www.onlinetires.com/default.aspx?ID=725&PageData=tireResults&Paging=2) for $111/tire

I'd say look at tirerack for education on tires and check this site out for prices
