Now I know alot of people on here are fans of rota wheels and I am not agreeing with this article exactly but it does seem to show proof of failure.

I don't agree with it either. Depending on what sort of impact broke the wheel it could have happened to the most expensive of wheels.

wow.... a pic of a broken wheel!?!? zomg!
Seriously, if there was a real problem with Rotas you'd hear about it from the thousands of people who own them. Even with the way severe failures are exponentially more heavily covered, I've never actually heard of a Rota wheel failing. Seen a pic or two like that from unknown sources and unknown circumstances, but nothing credible even with the way the internet spreads that stuff like wildfire.
Agreed. They talked to a manufacturer of a "higher quality" wheel (Work Wheels) who universally panned all wheels that attempt to copy "higher quality" wheels. Gee, I wonder if it benefits the company he works for to warn people of the "dangers" of knockoffs.
He cited no specific examples of company A copying company B, only using lesser quality materials that have been seen and proven to fail because of those lesser quality materials. The article generalizes that all supposed knockoff companies are using shoddy workmanship and no research and development to create their wheels. Could this be true of some? Probably. But where's the proof that ROTA or any company is doing this?
And this is from Import Factor. Who the heck is Import Factor and what journalistic credibility do they have?
