I messed with one for quite awhile. They feel kind of janky to me and windows mobile 6 is terrible. TERRIBLE!
I ended up going with the dash for $99, but for all the frustration windows mobile 6 has caused me, I should have went with the blackberry curve.
Don't try to do any web browsing with internet explorer. 75% of the interwebz don't work right on pocket IE. Including this site, you can't post any messages. Don't try to jot down any notes...you can't. You can record a freaking voice message, but you can't write out a note and save it.
and..... the most annoying thing ever. I set the alarm ONCE for 6:00am. It now goes off EVERY MORNING AT 6:00AM. No way to turn it off.
All my problems were with the dash, but being that they have the same OS, the shadow has lots of potential to be craptastic.

T-mo dash has WM5, not 6.
On my WM6 phone, I have no problems jotting down notes, and then coming back
to them later. They are all saved automatically.
I set the alarm once and then turned it off. It has never gone off again.
Oh, and I'm posting this from my WM6 phone.

All dashes were pushed an update to WM6. --> CONFIRMED
http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
It isn't the professional version with the ability to edit office documents.
It is a smaller compact version of WM6 which is fail.
I believe the shadow has the same version as the dash. --> Confirmed:

Spend the extra cash and go with a device that has windows mobile 6 professional or a blackberry.

What device are you using? If it has touch screen, you have the professional version.

I'm using the HTC Touch which has a touch screen. My old phone was the HTC S620 (T-mo Dash) and I did not have any problems with the alarm. I didn't have good data service so I did not use it much. And I never tried to create a note.

Ivan, you can look at the T-mo wing:
http://www.t-mobile.com/shop/Phones/Detail.aspx?device=acc8102d-4506-4eaa-bc2f-9c7b8ec1b1e0
It's like my phone (HTC Touch) except it has a slide out keyboard. It's also bigger than mine cuz of the KB, but it's a really nice phone. I had the sprint version of it for a month but traded for the Touch.

yeah i was looking at that but i can buy the shadow for 120 with shipping from t mobile, and the wing is 300+shipping so that is a huge difference that i do not have. IM BROKE, but yet i want a 3rd phone, lol. i want something a little more professional that the batphone. lol

Let me see what the Dash is going for on Ebay. I can sell you mine and then you won't have to sign a contract.

the dash would cost me the same as the shadow if i resign with tmobile 120 with shipping, i dont care if i have to sign a contract, ive been with t mobile since i was 14 so thats almost 5 years now and dont think ill be changing anytime soon

You're not catching my drift. You can sign a contract with them, but get a phone that's free or near free that you can sell on eBay for $100+. Then you buy my Dash with no contract and get a smartphone for free or near free.

i have been thinking of that to, idk i think 120 for a phone that cost 300-400 is a hellz of a offer and a big return, lemme think of it eddy

Shadow is not a $300-400 phone. That's retail price. They are selling for about $200 on eBay. So you're signing a contract for 2 years to save $80. I think you can sign a contract and get a phone you can sell for more than $80.
Plus the Shadow doesn't have a true QWERTY KB which you'll want if you txt a lot.
