I'll post more as I have time to make them, for now I have two done.

Amp's will list the ouput in watts (generally RMS) they can produce at a partcular ohm rating. Different amps can handle different loads, you will see 500w@4ohms, that means with a 4ohm load the amp will put out 500w, the higher the resistance (ohms) the less power the amp will produce.

Higher end amps will run with lower resistances, you will see 1 and 2 ohm stable amps, so once you get the amp you want you can figure how to wire your sub(s) to produce the correct load for it. Its best to plan ahead to make sure you can wire the sub(s) you are getting to produce a load your amp will handle and produce a desired power level at.

The first two images - Two Single Voice Coil Subs wired in Parallel and Two Signle Voice Coil Subs wired in Series.

These are the two options for wiring two SVC subs up to a single amp. Note that with the same subs, you can produce two different loads based on the wiring method.

ive got an old JL audio 1000/1 amp and two jl 12w3vs in a jl box. Havent used them in forever though. Never had the amp or volume turned past halfway.. Still surprised I didnt blow that setup

just go to www.rockfordfosgate.com and go to the woofer wiring wizard to helps you wire all the basic setups
