These are 18x7.5 +48 running on the stock tires. I noticed right away an increase in accerlation with these light weight JDM wheels.

I don't know why these wheels exentuate the gap since they are the stock tires on there. But everyone is talking about the gap. I am not sure though if I will drop it for clearance reasons and it's hard enough getting a jack under the car as is I hate to think about it if I dropped it.

Well, when Josh put 18" RX-8 wheels on his car, it had the exact same issue. Maybe has to do with the fact that these wheels are 10% wider, stretching the tires a bit and giving you a smaller overall diameter....

When I wear these tires out I might try to go for a higher profile like 225/45/18 as opposed to the stock 215/45/18

not trying to play the tint game with local law enforcement. And is legal tint even worth it?

yea, not to bad, drop and tint would be a +. I've been pulled over many times for things other then tint without any mention of thre 35% I went. I think if you go much darker then that you may have issues with the Po-Pos.

Looks good. I second the wider wheels making the gap larger. FYI, I have 50% tint and despite what most people say it's worth it. I've had 50% twice now on the 6 and the MS3 and people were always surprised it was 50%.

Oh, and you NEED center caps stat. (See pics)

+1 to need for caps & tint & drop :)

But I like the wheels!

I've had 35% tint for 3-4 years now, been pulled over ~4 times and never has the tint been mentioned...

20 % and never pulled over. Jana went with 35% on a black car and it looks nice and she hasn't been looked at once.

Yes, you need center caps....badly.

I rock 35% and have not been pulled once in the 1.5 years I have had it. (Knock on wood)

Anyone know any ideas about cheap good looking centercaps that might fit? The enkei rpf1 caps are like $100 for 4 so I am not trying to do that.

I'm sure the potenzas will be history soon enough. Now I am not sure if I should try a 225/45/18 or a 235/40/18 one will be too tall and one will be potentially too wide.

After my ride yesterday I'm pretty sure I took 5k miles of treadlife in 2 hours on my potenzas....
