View Full Version : Stolen Mazda3 alert!!

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. But i just got word that a 2005 Black Mazda3 hatchback, [used to have] a mostly red bumper sticker with a little yellow in it on left side of back window. HAD MN plates, expired, RPM 847.

was stolen saturday night. I have asked for more info and any police contact info should we see this car.

no i have an 06 - I don't know the person it was stolen from, friend of a friend of a friend kind of thing

More info when/if avalible please. Was it towed off or did they steal a key? Engine doesn't like to start without the proper electronic signal from the key. Be interesting to know if them damn theives found a way around that.

You mean the super sekrit 14 step override process? I'm not sure if mazda has the same thing, but I know Honda's do.

Yea, it does, and it tied to the ECU. When I first did my swap, I didn't change out the key cylinder, so it wouldn't start and gave a signal through the security light that the key's chip didn't match what was programmed into the ECU. Would be interesting to find out what happened, but if it's not recovered, might be hard to find out.
