I know with the Acura GPS system there is software out there that allows you to customize your start up image and a bunch of other things. Is there any software out there that allows someone to update the NAV system? I have an 06 MS6, but does anyone have the updated DVD's? Is it worth it? Thanks in advance.

After talking to a salesman at Walser it sounds like they still haven't done any updates to the nav system and likely don't plan on it either.
I believe it's the system they started using in '03 or '04. It's heavily outdated. The could have updates though, salespeople certainly aren't the most reliable source.
Call the parts department and find out what it runs for a new DVD. The cost will make you think twice though. ;)

Talk to Jesse at Morrie's. I remember discussing this with him at one point a while ago and he said that the you can go straight to the manufacturer for the disc and it will be A LOT cheaper than going through the dealership.
That does seem fairly logical. If I remember, I was told a few hundo for the new dvd from Brookdale.

The Nav in '04 and '05 RX-8s and Mz3 was from Navteq and they want $199 for the "as of '06" updated map. Navteq doesn't offer anything for Mazdas after model year '05, so hopefully it cheaper from who ever did your software.
