I want to make them independent, so I can have them on without having my headlights on.
But damnit, I'm electrically illiterate. I've read the how-to stuff on the mazda3forum, but I just don't get it.

You know, I can drink beer and play xbox, I can rotate my tires and change my oil, I can do lots of productive things, until it comes to electrical work or wires of any sort and I swear to god I just get downright stupid.

Pretty please? :)

You don't really have to "get" the how-to on mazda3forums.com... just follow the instructions and you're golden. I did it to my car, and it was a piece of cake. I'd be happy to help you out sometime!

Jay, can we make this happen to my car next time we have a mod meet?

absolutely.

Won't that = no warranty?

warranty on what?

It won't do anything to your warranty. Unless you have a wiring/electrical related problem and is proven to hail from your independent fog light mod.
They just simply can't void a whole warranty because of something small like that.

I would be glad to help you with it if on a Wednesday at Porkys. Let me know which Wednesday you're coming and I'll try to bring the materials.

Agreed, they wouldn't void the whole warranty, but if and when something does fail (a fog light), I am just skeptical that they would still replace with out doing some smooth talking.

In any event, I want it.

Ditto. It's something that should already be an option anyway... but you know those crazy auto manufacturers.

Sounds like we're on for saturday. I told Josh that I'm up early so people can start showing up as soon as 11am. Doors are wide open, but shoot me a PM if you're planning on stopping by, just so I know how many people to expect.

Doh! I just had my 2 days off. I have to go back to work saturday @ 2:30.

Typical.

Sweet. I need a new job, so I can have more free time.
