It's getting dark by around 7pm and getting into the 50's within a week or two, so this'll be the last one for me until Spring unless we start meeting indoors over the Winter. I'll keep an eye out for the thread of the "great debate" that seems to crop up every year regarding whether to keep the meets somewhere in the middle of the metro or rotate it around so it's close for everyone at some point etc etc etc etc etc....lol

Most sushi places will have cooked food also. We normally do Kyotos or Shanhai Bistro with Tom and Taya. Both have a good selection of other food.

mmmmm....Osaka rocks! There's one in Roseville too, just North of the Rosedale mall, and they're less expensive than Benihana.

With the family, I don't get out too often. We took the family to Osaka last weekend though, and it was a great time. Kids LOVE watching the chefs do their thing and I like the saki...lol

Jana loves the saki as well! I've yet to try any of the other places like Benihana, I can't get past not having the shrimp sauce! YUM YUM!

Jess and I are all about the shrimp sauce too, but Osaka has done a great job of getting it dialed in. I definitely recommend you try it out anyway. Dinner for 2 for under $50 with a coupon at valpak.com (not counting drinks and 2.95 per person for fried rice [effing redonkulous, but it rocks]) is tough to beat, especially at Benihana.

"P denotes a premium car, and S standard - all cars are in the game and do not require extra payment. Standard means it's a GT4 car improved with no cockpit view. Premium means it has a cockpit view ala GT5: Prologue"

Which is exactly why there should be no QQing when we try to plan a meet in our neck of the woods once in awhile. Nobody is complaining about all the meets down south, but for some reason it's causing a ruckus when we try to plan something elsewhere.

And if people are willing to drive all over town during rush, that's cool. I drive 100 miles a day just for work, which is MORE than plenty to satisfy my desire to be in a car on most days, so I'm looking forward to having a meet that's not going to require an hour to get to and another half hour to get home from.

Are you kidding me? LOL I'm not even gonna go into the location of most the meets and the number of miles I've driven to attend them - all I was sayin is there was two meets 'closer' to the north metro, that I wasn't able to attend now I have a night I could probably make it out and its moved again lol. I didn't say you should move it. But tonight I'm not fighting rush-hour traffic after already having driven 45 minutes home, if the meets were earlier or I worked later and I could go right from work that'd be one thing. Oh, and the meets haven't been on my end of the world in quite some time, I find it entertaining we have a meet in Plymouth and its the 'north metro meet' lol

Also I hardly consider sitting in bumper to bumper traffic 'driving' in the fun sense of the word.

Also Also - there is a bakers square like 2-3 miles from my house Taya, so yeah.

Hey, it probably feels pretty nice to look down on people when work hours / geographical location is a consideration in whether to attend a meet or not, so I can't really fault you for that. But I suggest maybe you start going back through the site archives before you start dogging on folks for not being as devoted to the club as you obviously are.

Jenny just got an email from Lion's Tap (http://www.lionstap.com/index.html) that THIS WEDNESDAY they are having something of an event. From 5-7pm FREE Craft beer samples. Also during this time there will be a drawing for FREE Twins tickets. It's a twofer and they have AWESOME burgers.

It's a haul down to Shakopee, but good burgers + free beer = win!
