I bought these MS3 wheels last week from a forum member and just got them back from the powdercoating shop. I went with a charcoal gray metallic and I'm very happy with the look. I highly recommend this shop, too. They're Minneapolis Enamling in Jordan, MN. These will be my new summer wheels. My winter wheels are also powdercoated, but in semi-gloss graphite. They were done by Quick Turn Powdercoat in Shakopee. However, his prices have gone up significantly since I had them done a couple of years ago. Every now and then, you see a post asking about where to powdercoat, so I thought I'd share. I had great experiences with both of these shops.

Wow, those ms3 rims look trick, and it looks like your PC guy did a great job. Thanks for the referral too, we're always looking to get random stuff PC'ed here. Any word on what kind of turnaround time? I have an urge to get mine done metallic purple.

The place in Jordan advertises on craigslist. I was planning to get my summer rims done there and after seeing your rims, now I'm DEFINETLY going to get them done there. They quote $120 for a set of 4, but I'm not sure what that covers. I'm getting a set of stock WRX rims done in a darker shade of blue. I think it will look good as an offset of my white car. They are rattle can gold right now and look awefull and are flaking anyway. I'm keeping the winter rims silver.

I paid $300 for my MS6 wheels which included an acid wash to remove the paint.

That's the correct price for powdercoating. It's another $95 for sandblasting. Just a warning, custom colors not in stock will cost more as they will have to buy only a small quantity.

for the place in Jordan, did you opt for sandblasting or did they acid dip?

They can only sandblast.
