I want to install a back-up camera. Anyone know any cheap, small cameras I could put back there? And what's the best way to install it? I was thinking of replacing the keyhole in the trunk with a camera, good idea?

Sweet, I wonder what the dimensions are? I wonder if it will fit in place of the trunk key mechanism? I wonder if I can take out the key mechanism w/o affecting the power locks? I wonder how many consecutive questions I can ask in this thread?

They also make license plate frames with the camera molded into them, pretty slick and easy way to install one. I haven't used one so I can't comment on the quality.

Sounds like an easier way to install one than removing the lock mechanism.
And if the trunk popper breaks, you've got no way to open it with the lock gone.

But then I'd have to lose my fujita plate frame? /nowai!
Srsly though, that means I'd have to drill a hole from the outside of my trunk to the inside? eh.....

we sell a few different types the universal type we sell is by nessa vision.. it's about 200$ but it comes with a license plate frame so there is no cutting and drilling etc. because most of the time you can run wires through a different area then

But another thing I'm worried about using a plate frame camera is that anyone with a screwdriver can steal my camera!

You got a sharky right? Drill a hole in the sharky and put it up there!

you could always do that.. or put it in the bumper... or put it right in the rear deck pointing back..
