Check www.microcenter.com

Also there is a local shop called Global Nanosystems. They're a college PC shop, and they might be able to hook you up.

It is for my wife when she goes back to school this year. And yes she needs a laptop.

If she's going to be toting it around with her, a 17" screen might be a bit hefty. I got Nanami a 14.2" widescreen--it's the exact size/shape as a standard notepad, and is much more portable than a 17" screen.

If they have a high-capacity battery, I'd swing for that.

Also check out newegg.com and mwave.com for more options, better shit, and no preloaded crap that Dell is liscensed to sell with their systems.

ON a side note, I have a Dell laptop from my old job, and I really have loved it. Worked well for everything needed.

By the looks of it, yours listed will be solid for every day use as well.

Global Nanosystems is supposed to be the joint. I have many a friend who have been very happy with their stuff.

On the other hand, I have a dell and really enjoy it.

Dell makes decent laptops, thats what I've got for my work laptop. You may want to watch sites like fatwallet.com and slickdeals.net, often you can find some pretty smokin deals on laptops, sometimes w/ coupons and such. Also you can try calling and seeing what kind of deal you can get. That said looks like a pretty fast machine.

And as Jay said that sounds more like a desktop replacement system, its going to be a bit on the hefty side, if that doesn't bother her all the better.
