LOVE IT! The songs just kick ass. And on a 50'' TV with surround it make it even better.
Was just playing xBox live a bit with it (actually Jana was playing some battles) and now I'm gonna cap the night with some Halo 3 online.

Our roomate just picked up a Wii this weekend as well, so we've been bowling and playing tennie like mad as well. It's been a workout this weekend.

Don't have it but I played it at a friends who picked it up. Between 3 of us we finished all but 3 songs on expert. Another friend of mine beat the game on expert in like 8 hours. Gh is crazy addicting...

So I picked up GH3 last night, and all I can say is that it SUCKS. You have to do a boss battle just to get more songs? WTF? Morello is fucking impossible to beat, I've tried 5 times. Activision totally ruined this game.

Colin, what difficulty were you paying on? I beat Morello on medium on my first try in about a minute... LOL I kind of like the inclusion of boss battles... gives you a little taste of multiplayer mode even if you're playing by yourself.
Speaking of multiplayer mode, does anyone have this for the wii yet? Multiplayer over nintendo wifi FTW! (I knew there was a reason I didn't want the PS2 version, hehe...)
I think one of my favorite things about this game is that it finally gives you some way of accurately knowing which notes you can hammer-on and pull-off. That move was practically worthless on the first GH, and it was a bit better in GH2, but the way they implemented it on GH3 finally makes it seem like a worthwhile inclusion in the control scheme.

I was playing on medium. My delay in beating Morello is likely due to the fact that 1) I suck and 2) I'm a pussy.
I think the boss battles/multiplayer battle mode is really stupid, because it takes some of the skill out of the game. I'd rather kick someone's ass because I can play the song well, not because I can turn the f*cking controller upright. And having to do the boss battles just to get more songs is really turning me off to the game. It would have been a lot better if they made the bosses optional, and winning them would get you a big chunk of change or something.

I really enjoyed the boss battles, I thought it took more skill to have to focus on two things (the opponents attacks as well as timing your own) rather than just the notes.

I dinno, I think they're a nice quirk tossed in there. There are only 3 of them, so it's not like they're hugely integral to the game, just a change of pace. And the battle with Morello is really the only one where you kick their ass without recourse. When you're up against Slash and (especially) Lou, you get a lot more slung back at you.

It's all about timing your own attacks, don't just throw it up right when you get one. Time it so you attack him just before he can get an attack, then keep doing it. They'll be helpless to your onslaught, and if you can keep it up you won't ever have to worry about their attacks. That's my $.02 at least. Either way good luck with it

I haven't unlocked TTF&F yet. I just started playing through GH3 on hard...
I should have it unlocked in a week or so....
