I just ordered these snow tires and wheels from tirerack. I have had good luck with blizzaks in the past so I went with them this time with the Revo 1 model blizzak in a 205/60/16 size. The Borbet wheels look kind of cool to me even though they are way too much $ compared to the steelies that I wanted to get but tire rack was sold out of steelies.

Nice love the wheel But I bet they are going to be a pain to clean.

Very nice set up.... you sure the wheels will fit?

Cleaning may be difficult but I like the rally style design and it was one of the cheapest 16s they had left. All the really cheap wheels were sold out.

Tire rack says they fit and I have heard of good things about how tirerack testfits their wheels so I am confident.

I like the look of those wheels. They'll look good on a hatch. Let us know how they work out.

Yeah, that was probably a pricy package, but damn those look good.

Got a good deal on the tires but the wheels were a bit much.

Well they should be arriving tomorrow. I really hope so since my car has just been sitting and I really want to drive it.

Well I got them and put them on the car today. I went for a drive they seem to grip very well in todays conditions. I just need a good snow storm now to really test them out.

I knew some one would ask. For the time being I have no digi cam so it will be a couple weeks probly before I can get one. It looks like a rally car though, I really dig it.

I wanted a version of those borbet wheels for my ROFLGOLF (perhaps you've seen the thread, my 1988 VW Golf)

They would work on a VW.

Good choice on the Blizzaks, arguably the best non-studded winter tires out there.

I have had nothing but great results from blizzakks in the past. So I hope these revo 1s live up to the blizzak name.

I hope so too, it is an awefully big amount of $$$ to throw at tires to end up dissatisfied with them.

So far so good with the fit. They clear the front brakes by the smallest of margins. No rubbing so far but I have not had the back seats full of good sized people yet either. Offset is 45mm.

The pics are comming soon! Just wait a few more days. But my performance reveiw so far is pretty good. As you all know we had about an inch of snow today so I went for a drive and the tires performed well. I really had to jam the brakes to get the abs to kick in. I found an empty lot and threw it into reverse and got the car spinning pretty good, not sure what that proved but it was fun. One thing I do notice is that the car WILL spin the tires in 1st through 3rd once the boost has kicked in. So I am wondering how well the summer tires will grip in third gear as well.

Again pics coming soon!

Here are the pics of the new wheels. They are not as good as I would have like but you get the idea.

dang those look pretty sharp for winter trim, I like. Glad to see another TrueRed speed almost as dirty as mine lol.

Here are the good quality pics I had promised. I drove the car around in the snow today and the tires perform as expected. Classic blizzak performance.

Other than looking really freakin weird with a tall sidewall, and little rimz, looks great to me.

That's what it's all about in the winter, putting on the tallest sidewall possible on the smallest rim possible.

Just like in the summer it's all about getting the widest tire with the narrowest sidewall possible with biggest rim possible.

Summer and winter are polar opposites in terms of tire performance.
