anyone else read that rumor about a new look for the mazda 3 for 2009?

idk if i like it or not, i think the 3 is perfect just the way it is, but bigger engine is always beter

That must be a REALLY early chassis mule, becuase you take out all that tape and you have an 07 sedan, no question.

I read somewhere they just bolted on a current-gen 3 body, and that the mule was more of an engine/chassis test. The next-gen 3 will still use the C1 platform.

Possible.... should be interesting if they ever do a DISI 2.5l turbo.... that thing would murder an STi.

idk if i like the body being longer, but if they made the speed outta the 2.5 engine it would be one of the best mazda evermade

I would've loved to have a 190hp 2.5L in my 6. If they really bump the hp up that much from the 2.3.

Performance-wise dual-exhaust on a i4 is debatable. But looks-wise it's nice. I miss the dual-tips from the 6, and the dual rumble.

Here's a pic it looks like someone photochopped of the redesigned 3. It's probably pretty close though since it shares similarities to the redesigned 6.

Looks just like a chopped, lowrider CX-7 to me.

I expect the new 3 to look like a blend between the current 3 and the new 6.
