I'd be to scared to go because my ankle would snap in half rollerskating/blading.

I'm in! Do they still let you bring your own wheels? I have this ultra-fresh set of K2's that I bought some years ago, before I realized wheels were not designed to be strapped to my feet, much to my dismay.

I have a set of K2's from back in the day as well. I dont know if I could even rollerblade anymore...
If they play "We Built This City on Rock n Roll" and I get to call out "Snow Ball" I'm in. 1987 FTW!

I used to skate a TON back in HS and was fairly good and did a lot of speed contests. I do have a basic outdoor setup, but I'm going to look at doing more skating outside once I find some good trails.
I'd love to go with a group.

Sounds fabulous! Hopefully there won't be any yucky girls around to ruin our fun! http://eydis.fantasy-hr.com/style_emoticons/dark/gay.gif

Heh. Jerk.
Btw...whatever happened to bowling??

paved walking paths you can also skate on (usually inline), they need to be smooth though.

What girls would wanna hang out with you goofballs?
So do we want to plan a skating or bowling event? Maybe Sat night, Jan 19th? Planned far enough out?

I vote for bowling or something over skating... but whatever people are into.

Word. Bowling + beer = hilarious. Skating + beer = trip to the emergency room.

I'll do either, but less things will be broken with bowling. That being said, I prefer skating.

I may come along for the ride but i would find a way to break something doing either so I will just be a spectator!

+1 for the activity that always includes tasty white russians in honor of the dude, or el duderino if you're not in to that whole brevity thing.
We shit, I'm going to line up both events then and post dates up.
Please just use this thread to continue posting up on which one you'd go to and then also what nights you'd prefer. I'm thinking 2 sat nights in Jan?
I know there is an Alley in Dayton that has awesome moonlight 8:30 - modnight event on sat nights.

Dayton? Can we NOT plan these events on the other end of the planet from me? Just once? (Kidding. I don't really care. Honest)
hahah, other end of the planet. lol
All someone has to do it take the lead on another place. Perferably if they've already been there and knows how it works.

I can do either, but bowling sounds less painful, hehe. Saturdays nights are perfect for me. I dunno where Dayton is, but since Jay will be driving...
Near Maple Grove. The place is off CR 81 and Fernbrook.
We need reservations though and people need to realize it's a $20 event (per person) that lasts from 9-midnight (8:30-8:45 check in). They don't do the buy 2 games, get drunk, and leave.

Dayton bowling might be fun. I might be in St. Louis that weekend we will see how that pans out...

$20 a person for bowling is a lil ridiculous I would say!!!! That seems a little high and on the other end of the planet from where we live.... I don't know that I would pay that kind of money for bowling!!
$20 a person is a good deal for what it is. 3 full games with shoe rental. Plus Cash prizes all night long for various shit. I went several times last year with people who walked away with more $$ in their pocket at the end of the night.
As for the distance, someone pick somewhere else then and set it up. If I set something up I'm going with some place I know. If no one wants to go then no big deal.
