Kwik Trip touchless wash?

So I went to a quik trip to prepay $40 in gas. So the pump somehow malfunctioned and it kept pumping more gas past $40 and it didn't shut off when the tank was full either so I spilled gas all down the side of my car. They gave me a free elite wash code to clean it up so I used their touchless wash. It was a pretty sweet car wash it had brushes to clean just the wheels and it was pretty slick. THe was said it used turtle wax brand products and it all came out looking great. So I was wondering what any of your opinions are of the kwik trip wash?

If only there were a Kwik Trip in the north metro.....I love that place compared to SA or Holiday etc.

Never used that one. I typically only use touchless washes in the winter when keeping salt and grime off my paint is the #1 priority and I can't (or don't want to) wash it by hand.

One thing though, I'd get a coat of wax on your quarter panel ASAP since gasoline will strip off the wax like nobody's business and the stuff the touchless wash really isn't good for anything except a brief bit of extra shine.

Also, which kwik trip was this? I'm trying to think of where there's one in N mpls/robbinsdale....

I usually just got for the cheapest touchless wash. I try to stay away from all the soaps, waxes, tar, bug, w/e sprays they use. I like to keep the wax I just put on as long as possible.

High pressure water and a good dry and I'm good to go.

The actual model of the wash itself is going to be the determining factor, not the brand of gasoline as each one can have a different wash. I tend to like LaserWash models the best.

I generally do use an upgraded wash only because the basic washes generally don't offer the underbody washing I primarily seek in an automated car wash. I use the cheapest wash with an underbody flush/blast.

The one on Larpenteur? Why? When I lived in that area I used that wash all the time and thought it was one of the best DIY washes around. What happened?

Yeah, that one on Larpenteur and Hamline is solid. There is also one on Energy Park Dr & 280 that isn't as nice but seems to work well.

I didn't know there was one there. I'm not around Larpenteur very much. I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, its pretty much on the corner of Larpenteur and Hamline. Its right next to Al's Pool Hall and Tires Plus on the North side of Larpenteur. Excellent wash.
