Tauni
I'm confused.
I am starting a new job soon and have a big goal of buying myself a newer car, and thus would like to sell my beloved P5. I am not in a huge rush to sell the car and am hoping to take my time with the sale to give myself time to save pocket money in the mean time, but I wanted to put it up for sale here first before any of the usual sites.
Anyway, this 2003 Mazda Protege5 is red with black cloth interior. It has 145xxx miles on it currently, and has a manual transmission.
Features include: Power windows and doors, keyless entry, aftermarket Pioneer deck and front speakers, tilt, cruise control and more.
I am the second owner of this car (I bought it from Jesse at Morries. The car belonged to his coworker's mother), and it has been well cared for. The first owner got most of the big work done at Morries, and if you ever have a question about what has and hasn't been done to it, they are good about looking it up by VIN. Since I have owned it, I have done the regular maintenance, as well as having some suspension issues corrected when I first bought the car (can't remember what they were but I do have all of the paperwork still), and I had the timing belt done this summer as well. Mechanically speaking, the car is a beast.
Cosmetically, there are some flaws. Being that the car is 9 years old, there are the typical mall dings, and there is also a bit of rust and surface rust. It is not much, but it is there. Additionally, I was recently backed into. The passenger headlight was replaced, but there is some paint missing from the fender. In the same area at the bottom of the fender, there is some scrapes where I decided to go too far over a very tall curb (oops...that one I will allow to be chalked up to "women driving"). The inside is great, no rips or tears in the seats. The mats are slightly beat up, but nothing that can't be replaced.
As for the cost, I have done a lot of research and found that, for whatever reason, these cars seem to vary in price quite a bit. Therefore I am setting the price at $5,000. This seems to be right in the middle of what my research has shown. I am very open to offers, though as I said, I plan to take my time with the sale, and will not entertain unreasonable offers.
All in all, it is a great car. It could make an excellent winter car or daily driver, depending on what you are looking for. Email is the best method of contact: trlangelett@gmail.com
Thanks for looking!
