Has anyone been there? While planning a 1-2 week long crusise this spring, and possibly a beach vacation, we've been presented with a option to head to Alaska for a 2 week vacation in the fall. This would take place of any other planned vacation this year. I was curious if anyone else has even been there, and if so, to care to share your experiance.

i havnt been there, but my aunt was there a couple months ago and said it was beautiful, my great uncle is 101 and hes traveled all over and loved it up there thats all he talks about, if you like nature and hiking or suiff like that, it is the place to go.

I haven't been there either but it's one of the places towards the top on my list of places to visit. I'm still kicking around the idea of some snowboarding in Whister BC then an Alaskan Cruise. Keep in mind thing's are expensive up there, and the cold weather sets in early (depending on where you are going exactly).

Guess it depend on what you're into, everyone I've talked to that's been there says it's just breathtaking.
