Alright so here's the dealio, I'm addicted to mountains. Biking, hiking, snowboarding, etc. and I've wanted to climb/hike/summit some of the larger ones for a long time so I am seriously considering acting on that desire starting this winter.
My ultimate goal is to Summit Denali (Mt. McKinley) in Alaska, when I do not know but that's what I want to work towards. In the mean time I'm looking to start climbing at Verticale Endeavors in St Paul (http://www.verticalendeavors.com/), likely taking some of the classes there to expand my climbing skills, and this summer I would like to hit Colorado to summit some of the easier 14,000'+ Peaks. Possibly working towards Rainier in 2011.
The question I pose to zee MN Mazda members, is anyone else already into this, or is it something you think you may want to do? I have a buddy from high school that was into rock climbing, I'm going to talk to him and see if he has any interest in the mountaineering / winter stuff at all, but if theirs anyone else that may want a new challenge perhaps we should chat.
