Carbon fiber repair

Nope, not the hood! lol

I bought a CF grill for fairly cheap, and as I expected for the price, it has a few blemishes. Does anyone know any tricks of the trade for touching up CF imperfections such as chipped or cracked clearcoat? The only "trick" I'm aware of is using some black sharpie lol

From everything I've been able to find online Jay, it sounds like there isn't a really great method for repairing CF while still leaving it visually appealing without painting over it after the repair. I found multiple references to CF repair being the same as fiberglass repair, and it was always "then paint over the whole _______" for a finished look.

The only things I'm really worried about are a crack on the left corner, a chip in the center of the top bar, and a chip in the right corner... (ignore the stray circle at the bottom... lol)

Closeup of the crack (I'm not worried about the part of the crack extending to the side/back since that's invisible when the grille is mounted)

I can make that look a lot better then it is. It may not be perfect but it will be better.

If you want to give this epoxy a run I can help on Friday. It will take 24 hrs to cure be fore we can sand and polish it to a fine shine.

Anything you think you can do would be awesome. Give me a list of what you need and I'll get ahold of it. Also, I'm not entirely sure friday works for me, but I'm really in no big hurry to get this done.
