I particularly like the shot that you condensed for your sig.

I gotta say, that's some pretty good composition right there. I really like how you managed to use backdrops where the only color was some hints of orange/brown/rust--well done.

as i stated when you posted the link in the chatbox shots 3, 4, and 5 are my favorites.

3 seems to work because the flash adds an element of light to dark on the car.

4 - the frame is filled up nicely, the negative space between you & the car (IE: the snow) gives some depth.

5 - the only color in the picture is various shades & tints of orange with a little bit of the blue building in the background which balances it out because blue and orange are complimentary colors. Nicely Done!!

the pics were taken at my grandparents farm which is about 20 miles from Canada in the NE corner of ND. and the nearest gas station is ~15 miles away. yes i took the pics.

3. i either had my camera set to the 'snow' setting or had flash permanently off. so how it turned out could be a fluke.

5. my train of thought was a little more simplified: old building+my car+i need some shots with awesome backgrounds+my car is at their farm 1-2 times a year=this thread. its pretty cool that so much goes into taking quality pictures.

Loves the orange against the snow. Very sharp!

thanks for all the comments. i'm hoping to get some more shots when i go back there later this summer with some new mods/extras on it (and a CLEAN car )

Funny thing is, I actually think a dirty car works best in those particular shots. You probably could have pulled it off with a spotless car, but the shading from the dirt kinda works.
