so what do you think of brett favre???

me personally am tired of it, i just want him to go away, he is doing this for the attention, and has stained his career in my mind, poeople 20 years down the road are going to say he was the best qb because of the stats and that they wont know all the bitch moves he did, this decision of "should i stay or should i go" is affecting his teammates and it seems he doesnt realize this which is the thing that pisses me off the most.

General manager Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy had made plans to take a private plane to Mississippi to seal the deal on Favre's comeback, only to have him change his mind again and stay retired."

He gives the pack the best chance to win, and who are we to say he can't play anymore. Think about Ivan, you say you love Rotary, but your done with them. 5 months later, your picking up another one. Same concept, and in the end he wants to play, and the pack need to figure out what to do with Rogers. That's the only real situation when you think of it. All this first round draft money is getting wasted, and Rodgers has had a chance to learn from one of the best, he could easily sign elsewhere at the end of the 09 season now.

In my eyes the pack would be stupid to let him go elsewhere. So if Farve wants to come back it needs to be as the starting QB or back-up to Rodgers with the notion that he's ready to step in if Rodgers can't get it done in the first couple games.

I think the pack would do well to bring Favre back, simply because the knowledge of the game and of that team that he has is indispensible. Simply put, he could teach Rodgers more than anyone else ever could.

Personally, as much as I remain a huge fan of Favre's, I am disappointed that he is not showing the personal integrity to stick by his decisions.

First off, Farve is vocal about NOT being a teacher, so if he were to come back and play underneath Rodgers, he will not be teaching him anything. But, that will not happen, IMO. Farve is not the type of guy who will sit on the bench regardless of which team he plays for. Farve will either be released from GB or traded, but more than likely just released. Childress said the Vikes are not interested and that T-jack is our man.

I don't think he needs to come back and play personally came back and do something else for the game. He retired to spend more time with his children whatever happend to that. He isn't getting any younger and i'm sick of hearing about him not making up his mind.

since he is being a media whore can't he just diaf or something somewhere? Getting sick of all this BS. And you know he is loving how the media is hanging on his every word with baited breath. Now that he has broke a few records (one of the most notable being most interceptions thrown, i believe that was against the vikes if my memory serves me right) he should just sit on his ass and be worshipped by all those twits in GB.

Farve IS the best player in Green Bay Packer history and will go down in history as one of, if not the best, quarterback to play the game. I know it's painful to admit on this side of the river, but time will tell and those of us that have had the pleasure of watching his triumphs and defeats over the last 17 seasons will be able to tell stories about some of the crazy crap he got away with right before our eyes. I too am sick of the drama, but I'd much rather see another season like last year for Green Bay, than a "rebuilding year" with Rogers even though I think Aaron will/would perform a lot better than a lot of people think. I just can't see Favre playing for another team, regardless of what's decided. Ultimately I think it might just come down to Ted Thompson getting the boot before shareholders put up with Brett sitting on the bench.

Well, the Packers are in a unique situation where the City of Green Bay (or Brown County) is the controlling shareholder of the team.

As talented as he is and after the season he had last year, he deserves to be talked about. Its a major ordeal if he doesnt play for GB, IMO.

I don't buy into this as Farve and Rodger have both been public about a rocky start to their relationship when Rodgers was drafted but since Farve has been a solid teacher for Aaron and this is why Rodgers will be a solid starting QB if he plays his cards right. QBs that get tossed into the mix don't have the success in their first few years the same way those who sat for a few years do. Farve will not be released, there is no chance of the Pack giving him the ability to sign with a NFC playoff ready team. And the Vikes are playing the PR game, if the could land Farve, T-suck would ride the pine in a heartbeat and it would give the future vikings QB a chance to learn and watch one of the greatest of all time. Simply, Farve can get a team to buy what the GM and Coash are selling.

He's better than 3/4 of the current starting QBs still in the game, and he's coming up on 38 years old. He should play till he can play no more.

I can agree with this, but I don't think they'll send Old Ted packing with the team he's put together over. Farve on the bench or not.

I agree that Farve should make up his mind and stop beating around the bush. While he has issues with the Pack's loyalty, he's also the ne who made the decision and then put the Pack in a place where they needed to focus on Rodgers. Now all of a sudden it changes and that's obviously not a good move. But in the end, Farve gives the pack the best option to win now, and Rodgers will benefit from any amout of time he can learn from him and devlop with the massly young team they have. If Aaron says fuck it, just look at the draft pick QB they got this year who could also be fucking fantastic sitting behind Farve for a year or 3. Maybe you could say the Pack saw this coming?

Aaron is worth more as a trade commodity than Favre is at this point, because he'd actually show up to camp, whereas Brett will make up his own mind and any trade will become null and void if he's a no-show, right?

i never said favre wasnt good, he is one of the leagues best, and as much as i hate him for betting my lions over and over, i respect him cause he is a great player, and used to be a great teammate but now is a prick. he needs to follow through with a plan!
