Forge BPV ping

over the weekend i got a cobb sri and forge bpv and installed both that day and love them, but the ping noise from the forge i have a feeling will get the cops called on me (i live in a naborhood with TONS of little kids with parents who have 911 on speed dial) is there a way i can make that go away or less noticable.

I'M OFFENDED!
You can put a washer in there on the end of the spring, roughly the diameter of the cylinder itself, that will alleviate the sound. My advice? Don't worry about it. I've had mine in for almost a year, and it's caused no issue thusfar.

What law would you be breaking by having your BPV ping? Fuck those helicopter parents right in the face. Worse comes to worst, lay off the boosties when you're going through the neighborhood (not that you should be really laying into it around there anyway).

Well When I ran the forge in my car I found that the only ping only happens when you build a good amount of boost. Not saying there is no ping with little boost just not enough to be noticed. I would think said parent would get way more pissed at the fact that you where going fast then the noise from your bpv. Also the cops have bigger and better trucks to worry about. Just keep the speed to a min. and roll.

the ping just plain annoyed me so I put a ring of sticky red silicone on the inside of the cap and now you just hear air and a subtle thwap sound, enough to let you know it is working.
