FS: 1994 Mazda RX7 Rolling Chassis

We simply don't have the time to work on this guy :( Car is complete minus engine and transmission, perfect for an LS swap ;) In fact we have an LQ4 longblock and T56 transmission here as well in case anyone wants to purchase them with the car.

The interior is in very good shape, the exterior has some blemishes which is to be expected in a 14 year old car. The hood has some paint fade which can be seen in one of the pics in the gallery, there is a minor dent on the right rear quarter, another dent in the left rear quarter along the seam for the rear bumper, and the rear bumper has a bulge that has cracked the paint. The passenger side door lock has also been tampered with and likely does not work. It also has some very ugly headlights which can easily be swapped out ;)

I am looking to get what I paid for the car including delivery from Tennessee which is roughly $8k. I can let the longblock and transmission go for another $3k. Essentially for $11k and a few swap components from granny's or hinson you can have yourself a V8 swapped FD RX7 ;) Let me know if you have any questions or would like to come check it out!

Ive been to the shop and have seen the car. It's in really good shape. If I had ther money Id definitely buy this (Even though Id rather do an LS-swap in an FC;) )

I'M OFFENDED!
I can also attest to the cleanliness of that car... it was somewhat dusty when I saw it, but appeared to be rock solid.

Trust me, I argued anti V-8 vs rotoray in an rx-7 with my buddy for a while before coming to the realization that dollar for dollar the LS swap is the best, and easiest way to crazy RWD power in a light weight car. The Colby may have some power and haddling going for it, but that doesn't change the overall quality of a car.

Oh yea, question from my bud, miles on the chassis?

And to think, I'm going to have space for a project car soon! ;) RXV-Tec?

Please keep this on topic and if you'd like to discuss 'V8 vs Rotary in an RX-7' please create a thread elsewhere to do so.

Nice looking car, wish I had the money for a project car right now.

Sorry Matt, but this is a question that I believe is unsettled, relates to this RX-7 and may be relivent to people thinking of doing the swap

MAP:
What have you guys found when it comes to the weight and weight distribution of a FD with a LS swap?

Thats fair because it's a question directly pertaining to the sale of the goods advertsided in this thread.

Great question lol, I don't know how this is affected unfortunately but it makes sense that there would be more weight in the front of the vehicle after the swap.

I was seriously considering doing the v8 into my rx7. A regular Lsx motor, n/a maintains the balance of the car, and only adds about 20 or so pounds. The 13b motors, fully dressed with turbo kit, etc. are not that light.
