Ghost Stories?

I saw this thread on MNSportcompacts and it made me wonder if anyone here has any real life encounters?

Do you believe it's possible?

When I was younger (maybe around 8 or so), I woke up in the middle of the night and saw this white figure of an old lady standing in my doorway. I closed my eyes, and when I opened them again she was gone. Not sure if it was real, or just a "kids imagination".

Ghosts are bullshit.


That being said, i've seen one once, and am damn sure that my old apt was haunted. One night I was cleaning the bathroom and my rollerblades leapt the fuck out of the closet. I figured that maybe the cat had something to do with it, but further investigation revealed that the cat was nowhere near the rollerblades at the time of the incident. And we aren't talking they fell off a shelf or something, there was no way for them to do that. They straight JUMPED out of that closet.

The second time, I was in the same apt, and a woman in a white nightgown or something appeared at the foot of my bed. I was clearly awake, and hadn't been drinking or anything that day. Scared the living shit out of me.

I met this girl when I first moved to elk river and she told me about how her parents house was haunted - the lights would blink and such and I thought she was bullshitting me. Then I decided to hang out at her house once, her dog would NOT go downstairs, and the basement wasnt creepy. The dog would go up and down the upstairs stairs no problem, but still nothing convincing.

Her tv in the living room turned on and off a couple times, but hey that could be bad wiring or something so I still shrugged it off.

Then while we were in her bedroom she turned on her radio for some backround noise. About an hour later the stations started changing back and fourth on its own, and this was an analog tuner. That spooked me enough to not go back to her house ever again, but I have never seen any ghosts. Come to think of it, that bitch still has my John Q dvd!

in the house of ecuador where i used to live in, people would say that they say shadows, felt weird vibes, and even had bruses all over the body when they slept overnught, but nothing eve happend to my mom, brother and i, but a couple years ago when we were renovating it to sell it, the construction workers found bones in the fucking walls, idk how or why they eneded up there.

oh where my moms aunt used to live(also in ecuador) her daughter was pregnant, so her bf would stand on her stomach so that you couldnt really tell she was pregnate, but when the child was born she had it and ran to a nearby creek which is always ice cold, and dropped the baby(it was still alive) in the creek, and my mom says that you could barely hear the sound of a baby crying at night for a couple months until her cousin took her life.

not really a ghost story but they say that quito is the capital for ufos bc of its mountains and the location.

Growing up I lived in some old houses, including one on top of an old mine in Nevada. I do believe and am pretty sure I have had numerous encounters. People, tvs, lights, sounds, all of that. Including one just this weekend at my bf's house. Very strange and I didn't feel to freaked out about it. It is weird how all that seems to work.
