help me fix my floor dent

so the body shop estimate to fix my dent is about 1k, and since i can't claim it on my insurance and am not paying 1k for something that can be done by the members on this site.

so if anyone has a garage and basic tools that can help me do this(i basically live on the mn/ws border. unless you want to drive that far :shrugs:).

eric had the idea that it might be better to cut a hole in the bottom layer and pull the dent out like you usually do for body panel dents, weld that spot up and pound the upper layer flat. (i'm open to any other ideas you might have)

i'm up for any weekend when anyone can help and can provide monies, sudz or anything else for help provided.

I still say go with the previous idea, hit it with a hammer, seal up the hole, and spray it with anti rust. Either way, until you are ready to fix it for good, seal that hole you made NOW....... lest it starts to rust. Stick some caulk in there or something.

theres not a hole now per se. there is a u shaped metal piece that separated from the floor pan that should be re-welded/caulked up.

No, he did this using the factory jack point trying to change tires. Rookie mistake.

Remove carpet, pound dent down, reinstall carpet, weld as necessary, liberally apply Rust-Oleum.
