Independent Fogs Anyone?

Hi all. I've been checking out the Indy Fogs Mod on mazda3forums and it seems like there are a few different ways to do it and the results have been mixed. Has anyone here done it?

Yeah, I sent a PM to D7 about it initially, because I had read a couple of posts he had in the m3f thread, but he said he no longer has that car, so I'm looking for anyone else that's done the mod to see what method they used and how it's been working for them since then.

Well, FWIW, it worked great for me for the year or so I had it done. We tried it on Josh's car using the same method, but I think we ran into some faulty wiretaps like I said, and we haven't really revisited it yet.

If there are a couple of people who want it done, we should just get together and bang em out assembly-line style.

I'd be interested in getting that working. Jeff (aviateur) had it done before unfortunate things made his car go away.

Once it's warm out I want to rewire the fogs and my halo's, haven't really looked into it a whole lot yet though.

Yea, I've done it, running the wire from the steering wheel column to the relay in the engine fuse box. Works fine, hardest part was getting the hood release off.

I just got halos delivered last week and I've got a new MUCH louder horn, yellow fogs and caliper paint waiting to get done too. I'm not much of a mechanically inclined guy, but I can follow most of the walk-throughs that I've found online without much trouble. I'd be all about doing the assembly line thing for the lighting and I have a 3 car heated garage (3rd stall is all storage, but plenty of room left for sure) so maybe we can set something up once it isn't below zero all weekend long or something...that way the wife won't stress out about having it nice and comfortable in there. I haven't seen any recent discussion regarding a Wednesday night meet, so maybe (assuming I make the next one, which shouldn't be too tough) we can put this on the agenda?
