This is on a few other forums, including mnautox.com and mitsustyle. So parts of this info was taken from either of them...

There is currently legislature going through MN law process that would eliminate the need for front plates...

the bill: https://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us/bin/bldbill.php?bill=H1071.0.html&session=ls86

section 41.15

As car enthusiasts, most of us dislike the looks of the front license plate on our cars and see little use in them... CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LAWMAKER AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT H.F. No. 1071.

I would be very surprised if this passes with the one-plate clause intact.

I don't care either way, personally, as "I've aged" I kinda prefer the plate on both ends to allow for law enforcement and anyone else witness to anything involving a car a better opportunity to get an ID. Same goes for tint, sure looks better when darker, but I can see the argument to keep it light.

That being said, I'd still not run a front plate on a "fun" car, and tint too dark and just pay the fines as they come.
