1) Can anyone suggest a brand/type of tuner style lugnuts that won't become chipped and scratched all to hell after 2 rotations, and don't cost >$100 for a set?
2) How ghey would blue anodized lug nuts look on my car? lol
That is a very good question as I also need some new lug nuts. And I have blue on my car and the contrast looks excellent, they match the blue Kosei logo and the blue valve stem.
This is the only picture I have close up, at a distance you can hardly tell.
Those look virtually identical to the lugs I currently have, except mine are painted black. They looked great at first, but even after just having them on for a summer, they chipped pretty badly. Hard to tell from a distance, i suppose....
ok first thing is this, You can't get tuner lug nuts and NOT look ghey.
Second thing is i would go with stainless steel lugs like SS lugs.
SS lugs are going to be the best thing you can buy also the most durable.
PS If i see one person posts about the fact that the SS lugs are heavy I will call BS because not one of use here does any kind of racing that would require light weight lugs.
I don't think I can use the normal short stainless lugs on my wheels... the socket is recessed pretty far into the face of the wheels. Plus they would look lamer than even hacked up black-painted lugs.
I just bought a set of black OEM-style Gorilla lugs. They're advertised as being "black chrome" but they actually have a satin finish. Haven't installed them yet though, need a torque wrench.
