I actually love to concept of putting the stock intake in where the top mount was.

I'm pretty impressed with some of the Corksport products coming out.

Yeah, corksport just released a FMIC for the MSP that looks pretty promising. At a GB price of $200 below the HiBoost, it sounds quite attractive!

I do like the idea of routing the intake that way, the only real concern I have is what setting that right on top of the valve cover is going to do to the intake charge. Maybe there's a way to make sure that the heat shield that you set under it is super insulating so you aren't basically baking your filter.

Generally the heat of the filter itself isn't going to be a conern. The flow of air won't change to much. And that's my concern. Making sure there is proper air flow with how the sensor for the intake is calibrated.
