For all of those who have blackberry messenger, heres away to have chat without burning through text messages. Not sure if they make a iphone app that allows you to communicate on blackberry messenger, but either way. Just scan this barcode and your in!

They don't give you free texting with a blackberry data plan!? laaaaaame.

No data plan I've ever heard of offers free texting. Why give it to you for free when they can charge you $.30 a pop for them?

I also don't see the point of needing a BB messenger group for MNMazda. You have a BlackBerry, which means you have a data plan...just use the chatbox maybe?

I've never used BBM, but my interpretation was that it was more like an IM/text than a chatroom. If you send a person a BBM message, doesn't it go straight to their phone?

The chatbox requires people to be watching it...

Yea, it goes straight to their phone. I have a blackberry unlimited data plan which includes unlimited text and picture messaging. BB messenger is just nice because if people dont have unlimited text, this is 100% free. I have a couple groups with friends from back home, its a good time. Plus us blackberry users can see the chatbox

Well, so even if texts aren't free, even my old phone (free over 2 years ago) had ICQ, AIM, and MSN.
