New 6

Picked up a lease return 07 Mazdaspeed6 a week ago. Stock black mica.

Had a Mitsu 3kgtVR4 for several years, then went to an Aurora which was a really fun, but cushy V8. Now I'm back to a 6 speed turbo. VERY impressed so far for the price. Hell, I paid dang near as much for the VR4 back in the day with like 70k on the odo.

So far have just done the clutch adjustment (jeebus, absolutely necessary). Gutten the stock airbox and that mostly seems to just open up the noise factor a bit. In the mail are:
-pg turbo inlet
-fujita cai
-forge bpv
-pg test pipe
-msd dash hawk (rather than just a boost gauge, spent a little more)
Figure that should get things breathing well. Don't really want to do too much exterior wise as I need to stay lo profile when I take clients to lunch and what not.

welcome!

perhaps a cbe or possibly a tbe could be added to the list eh?

not sure a cbe or tbe is necessary, seems to have a pretty good exhaust already with some decent diameters. With my vr4 it was the same thing, factory dun did it ok, minimal gains from aftermarket exhaust just more noise.

I'M OFFENDED!
You're absolutely right on the exhaust... the test pipe(s) are what make all the difference in the world on the DISI. Combine that with the TIP/CAI you should see some decent gains to the wheels. One other thing to consider with these cars is the BOV.... the stock one is a plastic trainwreck, leakin' boost like a sieve. A lot of members are going with the Forge (It's what I have myself), though if you're trying not to scare clients, there are quieter choices out there.

In any event, welcome aboard, it's good to see a steady stream of new members as of late.

You seen the stock exhaust? Oh man, it gets insanely restrictive, and those two cats are ginormous. Downpipes will get you the big gain, and you can even squeeze out a bit with the cat-back.

He also said he's got the forge in the mail.

Welcome to the site man! Come to Porky's on Wednesdays and get your mod on.

Welcome aboard!

Yes those large diameter "pipes" in the back are dress up around the real slimmer exhaust tips.
