New Black Ops Maps

Anyone buy them yet? Thoughts?

I've played them all and honestly, the playability has been dramatically reduced. I only play core Team Deathmatch, and I'm a run-n-gun type player. I can't sit and camp. The details are incredible, but as with nearly every map in this game it's very difficult to create 'call-outs' as compared to COD 4 and MW2. Now, typically that's not a problem for my team as we have a 7:1 win ratio or better but I can see it being an issue for others.

Kowloon - way too big and is flooded with many corners for campers. The dark atmosphere hinders visbility. Varying elevations decrease the all-out warfare too. Ziplines are plain retarded - they're short and you can easily get to where you want by jumping or going slightly out of the way.

Discover - overall, this one isn't so bad. It's the biggest map in the game, but it does play fairly quickly. Snipers will enjoy this one as they can get lots of cover and there are many high points.

Berlin Wall - my least liked map in the game so far. One side is fairly open, but the other has dozens of buildings to access and again, is camper-friendly. There's 2-3 points between the walls you can access to get to the other side without getting shot by the auto-turrets, but again if there's a couple campers in buildings near those points, you're likely a gonner since you'll have to check every possible spot. The map is physically smaller, but it plays pretty big because of the wall and limited access points to the other side.

Stadium - if I had to pick a favorite, it's this one. The map plays quickly and is best-suited to my style of play. There are a couple decent sniper spots, but you won't last long in one spot. There's a few main buildings but they're pretty open and form the border of the map. This map reminds me a lot of Broadcast from the COD4 days. I went 24-0 on my 2nd go at this map, so it's good in my book. Too bad you can't access the ice rink and hop on a Zamboni.

Maybe they'll play faster as people get to know them better - but these are initial impressions.

Yeah they are incredibly detailed compared to the other maps.
So far I dig them and have been putting up decent scores. 2.00k/d
