New mod - comments needed

Well after a few days of driving, small rocks and what not got into the tape and it was a bit loose so I ripped it off. If there was a lip made that didn't flare out and was simple like just about every other car's options I'd have one.

Staying lip-free again.

you just didn't use the right tape. i used 3m outdoor tape the first time and it lasted about 1 1/2 weeks. i used automotive tape the 2nd time, and its been good for almost a month.

except i used the same seal the second time and followed a different line, so i ended up being about 2 inches short and had to cut a small filler piece.

I didn't want to make more holes in my bumper if I didn't like it a week later.

It's all plastic under there, so it's not like the little holes will rust or anything. I used tape, but when it started to fail, I used short screws and it snugged shit up noice = ain't goin' anywhere. I attached mine right against the back lip (there's a verticle 1/2" lip an inch or so under the front edge of the bumper) so it doesn't stick out so far, and I like the look a lot better. Different strokes for different folks though. Bottom line, if you like it then do it. I'm sure there's plenty of stuff on my car that different people like or don't like, but ultimately what I'm happy with is all that matters. We've all seen cars that make us roll our eyes and yet, that owner likes it and so does at least one of his buddies or family members that's encouraging him.
