paint shop suggestions

picked up a grill for a steal and looking to get it painted. 2 shops have quoted me around 400+ to fix and paint, or ~200 just to paint. i'd like to find someplace a little cheaper, or else imma leave it black or rattle can it.

What do you mean by "fix" and paint? Is it all busted up? You should be able to get a bucket of Bondo for a couple of bucks and fix any gouges/chips yourself.

2 small rock chips and some spider webbing surface cracks that doesn't necessarily need fixing.

Yeah, I'd say if you're going to have it painted anyways, may as well try fixing it yourself. $200 seems steep for those kind of repairs.

If you do decide to rattle can it, I'd go for either a contrasting color or black. Unless you're very good, you'll never get the color and finish to match the rest of the car, and it will look half-assed. On the other hand... a can of OEM rattle can will only run you $30 or so, so it may be worth a shot.
