Pick two.
I usually see it referred to as Cheap, Fast, Reliable- pick two...but yeah same idea.
See my sig :) , that is why I have my WRX for a DD, owning a DSM its like a fact of life that you have to have another car to be reliable. lol

I vote weight reduction as well, not only will it help you go faster, but should also help on things like mileage, breaking halfshafts, etc. And its free!

Ah yes, forgot you were around lol.

Johnny- something that stuck in my head this morning. You're on a Cobb off-the-shelf tune, right? I'd take that pig to MAP and get Jordan to tune it for you. Given the level of modification you are at, something tells me that there's more/more reliable power in that car.

EDIT- Also, ditch the Cobb. I swear that thing is dangerous. It's awesome for the reflash, but I've seen too many inconsistencies to make it a viable tuning option IMO.

110 HP of FURY!
I've owned my share. man was it fun pissing money away.

My thoughts are to keep the car as is and save up till someone else makes headway on the tuning and fuel. Get used to the current power, drive a couple auto cross and even road coarse event and set up the suspension. A solid setup on a good power car can be night and day.

Please elaborate....I don't think I've heard of any issues from people who actually know what they are doing, at least not any that the other options out there are also having (people learning how the car should be tuned).

Well, between the 22lb boost spikes that everyone is seeing with it, the crap that it's doing to Lukes' car with the whole speedo/bogging the car thing, etc. Granted these are all off the shelf tunes, no one I know has run ATR on it.... but it's just little too sketchy for me. I'm pretty much sold on the CP-E at this point.

Anyone using off the shelf tunes w/ mods other than exactly what is specified in the tune (or even WITH those mods in some case) is silly IMO. You'd have the same problem whatever solution you were using if your using off the shelf stuff.

+1

An off the shelf map is just an educated guess as to what will work with a given set of mods. Until they've had a professional take a go at their tune, some performance quirks are pretty much expected.

The boost spikes have little to do with the map. Remember, I have a catless downpipe with a TMIC. Yes, I'm on a OTS tune, however this map was tweaked heavily by Christian and Corey (bova80 on the forums - kinda like Christian's wingman), and has gone through 16 revisions. Corey has the same mods as I do running the same map and is having exceptional results.

My tuning option lies at DB. Jordan doesn't know the AP, and Shane has an AWD dyno with tons of AP experience. I believe DB will be up at Brainerd this weekend so I plan on talking to both shops about certain things.

The AP is fine. SRSLY. You still have to send your ECU in for the flashes to CP-e before you can even reap any sort of benefit with the standback. A P3 owner's car just went from completely stock to flash + standback and only gained 5 peak hp. 5!!!! Granted, the increase after 5,500 rpm was substantial but it goes to show is spending over $1,200 really worth it for that? I'd say do some more bolt ons before shelling out that kinda dough. I spent 1/3 of that and got much better results.

Also, the MS3 has terrible OTS maps - the reason why I believe ATR was released so early, and free. The MS6 responds much better to the maps (hence why we have very few revisions). I honestly have no idea what Luke's issue is, and I've never heard of it on anyone's car before.

I may tweak the car a bit more, but it seems to be running great now. Paying down the car, and the mods I haven't paid off yet seem like the most appropriate action.
