resonator or not???

so i have my headers, i have my muffler, all i need is the straight pipe to connect both, ive heard add a resonator from some and then not to from some.
what do yall think?

Easy enough to add one later if you want to... I'd say start without it and if it's too noisy or raspy or buzzy... you can add one later. I would say you should have at least a high-flow cat in there, however.

resinators are fair game. you'll get better/deeper tones and it will not be such a drone to drive. no resinator will be a lot louder. ditch the cats if your looking to free up hp.

I voted NO on proposition resonator. Rotaries have one of the most wicked uncorked sounds ever, might as well roll with it.

I agree with James. Start with a straight pipe, and add a resonator if you're not digging the tone. Voted "no" unless you think it's necessary.

Rotaries do have one of the best uncorked sounds.... but only at WOT and upwards of 7k rpms. For cruising and light driving, the volume and sound can get annoying pretty quick.

so.... tony from rx7 heaven did not have any resonators with him... so its striaght piped to the back..... ITS FRIGGEN LOUD!! lol, ill have him add one next week

Rx7 Heaven is still around? That place was the go to back in 2001 when I had my rex.

yup, antone roggeman closed down his old shop in the cities and moved to ramsey, he basically works of a giant shed that is filled with rx7 parts, with 2 lifts for te cars
