Sparklug ground from new NGK plug is missing!!!

So I threw a CEL on my way home from St. Cloud this past weekend. I pulled the code (Thanks Advance Auto!) and found that I had a miss fire in Cyl 2. I pull the plug out only to find the ground off my new NGK plug was completely missing! I put a flexible magnet down and very carefully tried to fish it out. It is nowhere to be found. Someone told me it could have been blown out the exhaust valve. Is this true?

I'm also wondering if anyone has a scope that I can get into the Cyl to see if there is any damage to the cyl walls?

I replaces the spark plug and it seems to be running better although still a bit rough.

It's certainly possible it blew out the exhaust valve.

I've got a borescope that I use at work sometimes, unfortunately it gets used on instruments that need to be kept very clean, so I don't think I can offer it up for looking inside a motor...
