Will this coupon be any good for anything that will take an OTA HD signal and also output an HD signal? The reason I ask is that some people have HDTVs w/o tuners.

Should work. though, I imagine the output from the box is going to be a coax connection, so I don't know what that'll do to your HD signal

Yeah I don't imagine they will go HD->HD, it'd be great if they did but i can't see them allowing that.

Agree with Jay it'll probably be Coax or at best a Composite (Red White Yellow) output.

Still, it would be a good holdover until you come across the right HD tuner for your needs. (free = good lol)

Well I bet some manufacturers will make a bit nicer tuner and add component and HDMI outputs to their "converters" in case someone wants to upgrade to HD. You know someone is going to make it. I just wonder if these coupons will work on a box like that.

Well the coupons are only for $40, but I see no reason why you couldn't put that towards a more expensive tuner

I bet they make up a new conection like TIA (Take it in the ass) and sell you that. But then you need anew tv to use it o well

And it will also require 6 different cables, and the 5th and 6th may need to be different depending on what type of receiver you have.

no the TIA cable is all in one.

but it won't work unless you have a BOB (bend over backwards) box.

I'm going to buy a box with coax, composite, s-video, component, HDMI, digital optical, and digital coax outputs. Then I'm going to have it shipped to Nate's house.
