Oooo I like it, I was looking at STI's a couple years ago but was a little more than I wanted to spend at the time (and insurance was robbery for some reason). Can't wait to see what kind of numbers you end up with.
and yes, even for me as a girl with good grades, insurance is still not that great.

I got my first renewal for the Speed3 and could not believe what my insurance rate is for 6 months - $322

I'm 1.5 years away from the first two conditions, and 11 years away from the third....

Just went over my extended warranty and it looks like I may have the same BS:

Standard Coverage:
1. Engine: All internal, lubricated parts, Cylinder block, cylinder heads, harmonic balancer, timing chair or belt, balance shaft belt, gears, pulleys, guides and tensioners, oil pump, intake and exhaust manifold, engine mounts.

WTF..... no mention of turbo coverage one way or another on the entire contract, but it is issued by "mazda extended protection plan."

Not bad -- I'm at like $400 for 6 months. But I also have a $100 deductible; if I bumped that up to like $500 I'm sure the premium will go down quite a bit.

I'M OFFENDED!
Here's an idea... don't buy that extended bullshit. Cost you less to fix the damn thing yourself.

No need to take your ethnic anger on people that want 100k miles headache free, and then decide they'd rather go fast as hell.

Extended warranties are like insurance. Most of the time, you're going to end up slightly fucked in the long run in exchange for the security of not getting majorly fucked in the short run.

Solid analogy right there!
