wheel squealing...

OK, people on Wednesday have heard the symptom... a squealing on what I think is the right front wheel area. It appears to only happen at low speeds after the car has been stopped a few times. It also stops when the brakes are applied.

I'm thinking the brakes are sticking a little or something, but what does one do about it besides pay $100 or so for it to be someone else's problem?

If it stops when the brakes are applied, it probably does mean that one of the calipers is a little sticky. What to do about it depends on whether it's worth that $100 for someone to remove/inspect the caliper and lubricate the guides/piston. By no means a difficult job, but still an hour or so of work.

If you can live with it for the time being, pick up a packet of brake grease for $0.99 at the auto parts store, and show up at AJ's install day.

could be that the caliper piston is getting stuck and the brake is not releasing so it squeals at low speed. Happened on my 96 sable.

So what was the final outcome with this one?...just wondering in case my car starts up with this kind of crap.
