Don't be silly it will always be the driver. Would the car have gone in the ditch without the driver no. would the car have be gone in the ditch without the RWD maybe maybe not and same with the road.

Well, he understeered right off the road in a RWD car, so it wasn't the car. The only explanation is that he got on the brakes too hard, locked up the front wheels and didn't know how to correct.

The RWD would only be to blame if the rear end came out IMO, but even then it would be the drivers fault for not being careful enough.

The driver should know that the car is RWD and adjust his driving style accordingly. How can it be the cars fault, it only does what the driver tells it to. Even if the driver loses control, its because of something that he did, whether that is driving to fast for the conditions, or hitting some dirt on the road.

I agree, with the obvious exception of a UFO landing or some other occurence that could not possibly be forseen, like a herd of deer around a bend or something.:robot:
