MS3ers do me a favor

Yes, there is a higher amount of blowby / fuel dilution on these engines, there are threads on m3f and 247 with people who are doing/have done UOA's and such with different oils. I switched to Penzoil Platinum as it seemed to handle the higher fuel concentration better than some of the other synthetics, and it's still resonably priced.

I will not smell my dipstick even though I have the same engine, because you specifically asked for MS3ers

I burned about one quart on the break in oil, same when I switched to Mobil 1. This last time I used Amsoil ad I havent burned anything after 2,800 miles, but it smells like fuel moreso.. Im hoping my oil pan isnt filling up with gas LOL

I have a UOA kit I will be sending in. But I think I will switch to PP regardless since its easier to find and cheaper than Amsoil.

yeah, amsoil's big thing is the long intervals, and with the fuel issues we have long intervals = not so good, so may as well go with something cheaper that also stands up to the fuel dilution. I also buy my PP at Walmart, like Tim said they have about the best normal price on it you can find.

I haven't burned a drop it seems like. Cahnged the oil twice now 1st time right when I got home from the dealer. And then now at 3000miles. I used standard non synth oil both times. I am gonna wait till I hit 9000 miles to go to synth.
