It's alive! And that exhaust sounds pretty mean :D
I must say a HUGE thank you to Jay, he really cam thru for me here. The car is running great, it doesn't exactly look "clean", but you will get a laugh or two when you see it. I really like it and am very happy, I have really taken to the ricer bit so I don't mind that the bungee cord shows or that the bumper is a little skewed. Thanks again, it was a loooong and busy weekend for me and I've got another 12 hour overnight shift to bang out. Good times.

Yeah, the FMIC core is a little bit tall to fit completely inside the bumper, but you'd have to cut out about 1" along the entire underside of the bumper support in order to get everything to fit properly. If you ever feel like tackling that, let me know... it shouldn't be too difficult, but I can't say I blame you if you don't want to cut into the bumper. I suppose you could also cut away some of the bottom of the bumper cover itself... but again, I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to go there either.

Glad to hear everything came out ok. I called Kyle and Jay on Sat morning as I was on that side of town. Kyle, I saw that you called me back, but I was already sleeping at home at that point.

just an update, took my car for a drive tonight in the cold, crisp, night air...WOW, just rockets forward. Before the car was kinda sleepy below 5000 rpms and charged when it got there. Tonight it was a steady build up of speed below 5000 rpms and just a rabid feast of power above it. That downpipe is the big difference most likely. The idle is still a little low and twitchy, but that's the only problem I have right now. Hopefully the ecu will get it's act together and fix that on its own. thanks for helping put this thing together, its a big difference.

I will be swapping out plugs (to the copper NGKs)...especially if I plan ot increase boost. However, every time I drive the car the idle is getting a little better. I think the ecu is figuring things out on its own. The car is just incredible now, it feels so different.

you prolly need some kind of management now...
Unichip is in and a/f ratio is great on both high and low boost. tune sucks, but that's the timing control that sucks, not the a/f ratio. I'll get it tuned next year, I'm out of cash for this season. I'm probly going to put on your boost controller too. I've been thinking it over forever and I think its the best way to go (take off the unichip hi/low ebc and set the mbc to 9-10psi).

Well it only took 5 days...the belt that was "really close, but don't think will rub", snapped off. No power steering sucks, another bungee cord went on (that makes 3), and the expirement continues...
