As the sun rises over MNMazda town... the townsfolk gather around the town square. One player is missing though. A quick headcount is taken and it is determined that JT is missing. After a short search, JT is found face down in a ditch, a knife sticking out of his back.

Everyone puts their dicks away and stares at each other...

It is now Day 2... you have until 10/5 at 9pm to discuss and vote for a lynch.

With 8 players alive, it is still 5 to lynch.

I had the opposite gut reaction, Tom. All this suspicion over JT being scum, and he ends up getting killed by scum. On the face of it, it seems to me like it would have been easier to keep him alive and let him continue to look suspicious. I have a few half-baked theories I want to follow up on, but I'll need to review day 1 before commenting.

I'm honestly getting weird vibes off Tom right now. Except for the initial thrust at JT over the rules thing, so many of his posts have been about how scummy or town Tom looks, or why we shouldn't knife Tom, or how such and such action affects Tom. The reason it strikes me is that you're really the only one playing that way. Everyone else is focused on the actions of others and how others look, but there's a constant theme of really trying to project a certain image instead of letting your investigative and voting actions speak for themselves.

So this is quite interesting, I'm going to have to go re-read through all of the Day 1 posts before I make too many accusations but I tend to agree at least a little bit with what you are saying Jay re the way Tom has been playing/acting.

As for why Nate didn't get it, there was a lot of support for Lynching Nate towards the end of Day 1 so either A) Scum expected he has a high probability of getting Lynched day 2, or B) Nate actually is Scum and obviously isn't going to night kill himself. Those are the two most likely scenarios in my mind anyway.

Jay - can you explain why you did not cast a Vote for a Day 1 lynch? No lynch on day 1 put town in a statistical disadvantage vs if we had lynched day 1 (even if it was a town lynch) and no vote (or anyone who wasn't willing to negotiate a vote change) certainly jumps out as being suspicious to me.

Not pointing blame at anyone just yet - off to re-read this thread will post moar later.

Ok, wtf... So I actually think my JT vs Tom push got someone killed and fucked us right off that bat. Either I was right and Tom is scum and is playing this fucking perfectly with misdirection or someone is using that to their advantage, and I'm kinda thinking we may have been spot on with Nate for one thought. Think about it... he got a lot of votes at the end, even if we ( and yes i mean me ) kept going back and forth. I'm kinda shocked that I wasn't killed off because of it. But by killin JT he's given us reason to look elsewhere, at Tom (who I'm not sure is scum anymore), or at someone like Andy, who voted for JT. Which leads me to thought two, Andy voted for JT, so he had that on his mind as well...

Need to read... But I have to think that Kris, Jay, Swanny, and Picklz are my strongest votes with me in town yet, which puts me looking at Tom, Nate, and Andy, one of which I don't think would of cast that vote on JT, it just doesn't make sense unless he's looking to misdirect misdirection...

Yes but it has nothing to do with the game. I went to visit my sis in the hospital straight after work and completely forgot the vote deadline was 9pm (versus midnight or something)

I think there may be something to be learned in why JT was whacked, even though there were a lot of people thinking he was scum. I didn't really see him rallying votes or leaning hard on anyone but maybe I missed something. The only explanation I can think of right now is that Tom is also town and they wanted to get town to lynch Tom. But that seems a little too obvious.

One more comment.... If I were scum I think my play would have been to off the most dangerous looking town that people believed was town. That gets you the double benefit of protecting yourselves without bringing any suspicion as to your external motives that might prove useful to town. Unless the obvious person to lynch was being grilled by a scum during the day... In which case that person may not be a good NK candidate. Hmmm

Sorry about that, lol. With the low posting since JT has been cut there are two I'm looking at right now, as it looks like they might be just sitting back and seeing how others react with JT, and that's Swanny & Andy. I'm still curious about Tom, which would also then start to make me think Swanny is not a townie, playing the card low key and cool, and Nate is a townie.

That sure seems like you want to take attention away from the kill itself, last raises a red flag....

I'm hoping some of those I list out will either defend or support how I've listed them, but so far it hasn't worked so my accounting for whos who is doen by their postings and how their statements change. It also allow me to only have to go back to one or two of my posts to see who I last thought was scum and focus there. Why has NO ONE other than Tom and JT earlier in the game tried to defend me looking at them as scum... maybe they hope no one else notices? or in your case, now you're trying to change viewpoints as well?
