AJ sits at the top of my list- obviously. Without some major change in the way the game goes- I can't see my vote coming off of him- simply due to the way he's been reacting.

Ben is a close second- simply because that whole Hot Fuzz episode still has me pondering it.

Well, i already voted for you.

But in the interest of being able to actually move forward in this game, i'll probably change my vote last minute if it means that SOMEONE gets lynched.

This is a team game. Even if town gets lynched, as long as they eventually win, it's a win for all town. So even if he's afraid of being lynched, he should be giving us all the information he can before he gets lynched. There's nothing really wrong with being afraid of being lynched, but withholding information because of it IS bad for town.

I was only alive for one day last game haha. I don't think my playing style is much differentiated but then again if it is then I think that's good because all I did last game was bicker with Tom and get stabby stab stabbed.

If my 'lack' of posting is concerning I'll definitely chime in more. I'm just not big on throwing a sentence in here and there. It doesn't help that the questions I ask don't get answered either, they simply get deflected or runover by other useless posts (see AJ and Ben).

Hence why my top 2 picks are AJ, then Ben.

Ben - Has showed zero help to both scum hunt and gather useful discussion for town. His posts are irrelevant and non-productive. His actions are slightly scummy, but moving past that - what can we learn if he's lynched? Moving on to my next point...

AJ - His actions are more scummy than Ben's, but they're also gathering the most discussion. I feel the most confident in lynching AJ at this point mostly because his death would ignite the framework for discussion on D2. I think we can learn more here, and ultimately the more info and discussion we have going forward is more beneficial that a 'lynch because he isn't doing anything'.

Looking forward to hearing other thoughts too.

Day 1 is about lynching the person we feel has the highest likelihood of being scum, that may only be a 20-30% belief they are scum, but it's better than just picking someone 100% at random. The reason this game isn't about strait trolling the entire time (say, posting movie quotes or just random pictures) is we need to try and draw out as much information as possible to make a semi-educated guess. What do you think is going to give us better information? A movie Quote, a random picture, or casting votes / asking specific questions to people and looking at how they answer (or don't answer) them.

With the information we have thus far I tend to agree with JT and Dan. If AJ hadn't voted for himself I think I'd actually be leaning more towards Ben. Yes some of AJ's behavior could be looked at as scummy, ESPECIALLY refusing to answer questions or offer any more clarification, however he HAS helped generate quite a bit of discussion which is good for Town, where Ben is repeatedly talking about movies and the fact that we have to troll non stop. I think he's providing less benefit to town, but at the same time I'm not really convinced he is scum. I'm going to go re-read the thread then will post who I'd vote for if I had to vote right now.

So once again, we're back to the same question that i've asked multiple times in this thread with no answer:

What information, EXACTLY, are you guys looking for? You've ducked the question, as has JT. (Though maybe he just hasn't seen it yet.)

Unacceptable answers include:
1) "I don't know."
2) "Anything."
3) "Things you can find by over-analyzing and nit-picking."

If a formula cannot be supplied, or if examples cannot be supplied, then you're just going off of gut feelings on the first day, and looking to find small things that you can twist to your agenda. (Gut feeling.)

And that's fine, it's the first day. There's really nothing to go on. If it's a matter of just rationalizing the choice of your first sacrificial lamb, then say so. As you say, it's a team game, and if the one remaining player is town, then we all win.

I made one movie quote, and everyone ELSE decided to talk about it for a few pages, whether it be bitching about it, or trying to analyze it.

I mentioned the fact that the entire game is trolling ONCE. (Ok, now twice.)

A scummy thing to do would be to paint me as someone who is doing nothing in this game other than completely random and unrelated actions.

@AJ - What are your thoughts on people so far?

Specific to anyone else, not necessarily information per-se, but being able to gauge peoples reaction to things. When you refuse to answer questions, you are deliberately withholding information from town. When you make a joke of everything, it makes it look like you are avoiding answering. Both of which are scummy.

What other 'ploy' would they support? Ben's unproductive way of playing? We've had very little to go off here and so far your actions speak the scummiest. Even if you end up being town, scum doesn't have much reason to support this lynch - looks like they don't need to, based on numbers you're probably going to go unless something dramatic happens. They may not even need to vote. I'm simply saying your death would be the most beneficial for town, yes even if we find out you are a townie, only because I think it'd provide the most discussion for D2.

What info am I looking for? Something more than movie quotes and useless banter. It's not helpful. Ask more questions, get in people's faces, throw out some pointless votes (hell it worked for Dan), do more than what you're currently doing. Although I'm not grooving on the way you're playing I feel like lynching you wouldn't help much, we'd just get you out of the way. Some of your actions could be considered scum, but you're new so it's tough to judge.

Much as i believe AJ to be Town, i'll probably end up switching my vote to him anyways, because you gotta stay on the bandwagon to get anything done in Day 1.

Stop with the movie quotes. I made one quote. Why people are still bitching about it over 10 pages later is beyond me. As for useless banter... it's how you interpret it. I've found most of the posts thus far to be pretty useless. We have nothing to react to, just making a gut feeling "real" in an attempt to lynch and actually move forward with the game. In the meantime, the rest of you are wasting pixels just as much as you view me to be.
